The Manager's Message

Children regardless of their age, class, race or background mostly are not like a notebook yet to be written upon as is mistakenly believed. Each child has his own individuality and his special skills and talents. A good educational system helps a child to nurture his talents and overcome his shortcomings. Only by providing appropriate, all encompassing education that will lead to the development of the all-round personality of a child equipped to face the challenges of life in all his future endeavors, we will be able to raise ideal future citizens of our country and the world.

Education is a systematic, planned attempt to bring about appropriate development & changes in a child by way of inculcating approviour patterns like thirst for knowledge, acquirement of multifaceted skills and values. While academic excellence is our major thrust, we will provide a platform to the students to showcase their individual talents in all spheres of life.

Our approach will be child-centered, encouraging activity based learning, inculcating a scientific temper and a spirit of free enquiry. Al Lourdes central school, the curriculum takes on a student-centered approach, whereby children are involved in the learning process. Teachers ignite curiosity and the desire to learn rather than routinely load children with academic burden; a methodology that turns learning into a combination of classroom study, research and scientific discovery. Our Endeavour will be to ensure that children grow to their full positional while constantly being groomed to pass out as men & women competent to take responsibility in all walks of life.

We believe that the approach of motivating and getting the best out of the children is based on the positive reinforcement of good work and good behavior with a philosophy which centers on praise, encouragement, enthusiasm, fun and affection rather than criticism, fear and punishment. Nevertheless, nothing worthwhile can be achieved without a sense of discipline and thus our students will be expected to conform to high disciplinary standards and to cherish the values of tolerance, fair play, compassion, and independent thinking.

The parents can assuredly repose faith in the sincerity of purpose and dedication of the faculty. I am confident that the students will find their educational experience at Lourdes Central School a fruitful and rewarding one.

The Director's Message

Education is to help us to meet the moral change of the age & play in the Life of the community; it should be liberating & life giving. It must give a basic meaning to personality & existence.
What is that this country is lacking in? Manpower it has great culture & tradition it has, natural resources it has, but why we all are lagging behind in the battle? Why are we going with a beggar's bowl before other countries for industrial materials, for food products, for technology & for other things? The fault is in us.
Our teacher teaches us, gives us a spark, a spark to transform, to develop a new outlook on life & to become a new kind of being. But it is my observation with the present generation that they lack patience. Why don't students practice, what is taught? Why do they betray the teaching in their everyday life? You all know what is right, you know what you should do, but why don't you do it? Why do you hesitate? Why do you all falter? It doesn't matter if you have some little trouble here & there. These troubles are always there. Nothing great is achieved without pain & sacrifice. What is necessary is sincerity and integrity of body & mind? We here at TRC seek to discover & nurture the special gifts you all possess, to deepen your understanding of the complexities of the world & to exhilarate each one of you to full potential.
Only thing that we expect from you all is to have faith in us & faith in your own potential. Have a wonderful academic session, be alert in the class room, on field & while doing any activities & enjoy each moment in the school.
